It’s the kind of thing you’d expect to find in Willy Wonka’s Factory, but now cake makers Tate & Lyle Sugars are making the sweetest of dreams come true.

For one night only, guests will be able to munch their way round the world’s first edible hotel made from cake and other treats designed in Soho, Central London.

The three floors and 8 rooms include treats such as: vanilla sponge cushions, hand stitched meringue rugs and window-sills made entirely of fudge.

Guests will also be invited to relax in baths filled with caramel coated popcorn after finding the perfect bedtime read from the edible bedside table.

The hotel, which was designed to promote Tate & Lyle’s new cake range, has been created by 14 artists who have taken 2000 hours to bake and 900 hours to decorate using 600 kilos of sugar.

Spokesman for Tate & Lyle Sugars, James Whitely, said the team hope the hotel will “Inspire people to get creative in the kitchen.”

Booking information is yet to be released but the chance to explore this cake-lover’s paradise will undoubtedly get mouths watering and crowds gathering for the one night opening.
