Everybody is falling in love with crazy nails.
The past year has seen a huge comeback in cool and crazy nail art.  From polka dots to Pokémon, celebrities like Zooey Deshanel and Katy Perry have become huge fans of the funky finger fashion.

Gone are the days of expensive, perfectly French manicured pinkies. Nail lovers haven’t let the recession smother their obsession and are getting creative with their rhinestones and nail art pens. We’re not talking simple designs either; some of these really are works of art.

Although nail art isn’t a new thing, Twitter and Pintrest are absolutely covered with the most fascinating hand painted designs; nail art is really living up to its name and people are constantly showing off their newest creations.

Beautylish.com shared this fab Russian doll design on Pintrest.
Quick Fix solutions like Nail Rock wraps and foils are all over the high street if you fancy a clever cheat. Just rub on with a nail file and voila – beautiful, long lasting nails! There are hundreds of different styles and techniques to try out, nail caviar, fur effects, and water marbling being a few of the most popular.

However, if you are starting to feel abit creative, here’s a quick and easy design to transform your nails in 3 easy steps:

The Polka Dot
1.  Clean and prep your nails, use a base coat if you have one, file until edges are smooth

2.  Use a bright red nail varnish to paint a bottom coat on each nail (you might need to do two coats depending on the colour)

3.  Use a white nail art pen to dab polka dots on each nail (models own do a great one with a metal nib and brush combo)
